Pink Laptops

By

Everyday laptops are gaining more and more popularity. They are getting smaller and lighter everyday also. They can’t be beat for portability and ease of use. From home to the office to Starbucks. They are usually very simply wired and of a black or gray color. The thing is that today everyone wants to personalize their property. This includes their laptops. The demand for nicer styled computers and laptops is on the rise, especially pink laptops. Women particularly love these. Luckily, manufacturers are trying harder today to meet this demand and are making more and more pink laptops. Luckily, these are usually no more expensive than the plain generic black or grey ones. Many manufacturers are also making pink laptop accessories to match the computer, such as carry bags and mice.

Cheap pink laptops

There are numerous companies making cool pink laptops today but lets start with Dell, who’s Promise Pink laptop helps fight breast cancer. For everyone of these sold Dell is donating $5.00 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization. These are also not really higher priced than other laptops. The Dell XPS15.4” Notebook with a 2.0Ghz, 4.0 GB RAM and 500 GB Hard Drive is about $1,400.00. It is also available with 2.0 Ghz and 3.0 GB RAM for under $1,000.00, and it is a beautiful shade of pink as well.

Sony makes two reasonably priced options also the Sony VAIO14.1” and VAIO 15.4” notebooks. These machines are priced between $600.00 and $1,600.00. These have around 2.0B of RAM and up to 200 GB hard drives. These are also some of the lighter ones at about 5 pounds, certainly lighter than the desktop replacement models that come in at over 17 inch screens.

Samsung makes what is probably the lightest pink laptop available at 2.8 lbs. The Samsung NC10-11GP is a 10.2” notebook with a 1.0 Ghz, Pentium III processor with 1.0 GB RAM and a 160 GB hard Drive all for under $400.00. This is a great machine if you carry your laptop quite a bit but don’t need all the big bells and whistles on it. This is a great machine for web surfing anywhere. Acer also makes a model very similar to this: the Acer Aspire ONE AOA150-1690 8.9” Netbook for about $300.00.

Toshiba also makes a small basic laptop, the Toshiba Mini NB205-N313/P Netbook. It has 1.0 Ghz, 1.0 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive and a 10.1” display all for about $430.00. Another great very basic machine for web surfing and simple applications, and like the others light and easily portable.

The pink laptop computer is becoming more and more popular and it usually draws attention where ever it goes. Ladies are the usual users but more men are becoming fans also. Not only are these available in several shades of pink many now are available with designs on them such as flowers on some HP models and stripes on others.

The future of the pink laptop

Going forward you are going to be seeing more and more pink laptops in the future, as well as many other custom designed notebook exteriors with lots of different colors and custom graphics and so on.  This is because consumer demand is driving more and more choices and options out there among the various manufacturers.  Just look at the Apple iPod and you can see how this trend occurred.  At first all you could buy was a plain white iPod.  Now you can get an iPod in all sorts of different colors.  Do you think Apple started producing multiple colors just for the fun of it, or to see if there was a market for multiple colors?  Of course not.  Apple did their homework and found out that there was real demand for the extra color choices in their mp3 players, so they produced it to meet that demand.  This just makes good business sense.

Now the same thing is happening with other consumer electronics, including laptops.  And of course pink is a hot color because not only does it tie in well with certain activist causes, but it is also the favorite among a very powerful demographic which is young girls.  These little women can influence a lot of buying decisions over the course of a year and they hold more buying power than more people realize.  And of coure they are crazy about pink.
