If you want to lose weight fast then you will definitely need a concrete plan to follow.  It is hard enough just to lose weight slowly, regardless of what method or diet you are trying to follow.  Trying to get results quickly and safely is an even greater challenge, but it can definitely be done.  Here I will show you how I have done it and lost close to 10 percent of my body weight in about one week.

A diet for fast weight loss should reduce calories drastically

The first point we need to make about this type of extreme weight loss is that you are going to be drastically reducing your calorie intake.  You cannot expect to keep eating the same way you always have and miraculously lose a lot of weight very quickly.  It just won't happen.  The problem with dropping calories and doing a calorie restriction diet is that it makes people miserable.  Eating super small portions and amounts throughout the day is just going to upset most people and be a huge tease to their digestive system.  In other words, when you put a little bit of food in the stomach, you alert the body to the fact that you are about to eat a huge meal.  Of course then you basically starve the body by feeding it very little.  This produces a huge amount of hunger that is pretty much unmanageable, and is certainly not going to be sustainable over the long haul.

A fast weight loss diet plan for you to follow

There is an alternative to the idea of calorie restriction, and that is intermittent fasting.  I recommend a juice fast that lasts for about 3 to 5 days as a method for losing weight.  Now most people immediately believe that this idea is much worse and much more extreme than the idea of simply reducing calories, but this is not really the case.  The big bonus with juice fasting is that you will not experience any hunger.  People do not believe this but it is absolutely true.  What happens is that your digestive system will literally shut itself off after it realizes that it is not getting any solid food.  It will do this naturally in order to conserve energy.  Understand that about 40 percent of all your body's energy is normally used to digest solid food.  When you do a juice fast that energy is set free and can be used to heal the body instead.  That is why animals will fast naturally when they get sick, because it allows their body to heal faster. 

So the plan is to drink nothing but juice for 3 to 5 days and not eat any solid food.  That's it.  Just make sure you are not drinking any juice that has pulp in it.  Try to squeeze some fresh citrus fruits into your juices as well, always remembering to strain the pulp from it.  If you do this for 3 days straight you will both drastically reduce your calorie intake and lose a significant amount of weight. 

I would start with a 3 day juice fast and progress slowly up to a 5 day fast.  If you find success with this technique then you can learn more about it and realize that longer fasts are very possible and really quite easy to do.  Fasting sounds impossible to the typical person who has been eating 3 meals a day for their whole life, but it is really quite easy.  You will not feel any hunger by the second day of the fast and then it becomes really easy to keep going.  You will also be pleasantly surprised by your overall energy level during the fast.  It will be much higher than when you are eating solid foods.

Fast weight loss diets should include exercise

If you want to drop weight fast then you also need to be exercising every single day.  People dread this and try to find ways around it or try to come up with an easier schedule and none of that twisting around is worth it at all.  Simply start out with an hour of walking every single day and stick to it no matter what.  That is simple and effective and it will probably save your life if you are overweight.  Walk for one hour every day, period.  No exceptions.  Not for holidays, not for anything.  Walk for one hour per day during the fast, after the fast, doesn't matter.  Just make sure you put in one hour per day of exercise, period.  If you form this simple habit it will change your life.  Combine this habit with a juice fast every month and you will start to see the pounds drop off like crazy.  If you are walking and doing 3 to 5 day juice fasts then you should expect to lose anywhere from 3 to 10 pounds for a 3 day juice fast.  If you do longer fasts you can lose a whole lot more.
